How to draw an octopus – cartoon style
Learn how to draw an octopus – outline octopus drawing sketch – step by step tutorial guide for beginners.
What You Will Need
- An A4 size plain white paper.
- A pencil.
- An eraser.
Please note: use a light HB pencil to draw all the shapes. Once it is perfect, you can add a second layer with a dark tone. For this tutorial purpose, I’m using the dark outline.
Step 1: Draw a curve line
Step 2: Draw a small curved line for the octopus head
Step 3: Draw the oval shape eyes like this
Step 4: Draw two small lines for the eyebrows
Step 5: Let’s draw a laughing mouth like this
Step 6: Draw a line in between the mouth. It will create the teeth and tongue
Step 7: Draw a curve line shaped design for hair
Step 8: Draw one more hair design. It will create the cuteness on the face
Step 9: Draw a curve line for the tentacle
Step 10: Draw a curve line & complete the tentacle
Step 11: Draw a curve for the second tentacle
Step 12: Draw a parallel curve & complete the tentacle
Step 13: Draw the third tentacle
Step 14: Draw the fourth tentacle
Step 15: Draw the fifth tentacle curve
Step 16: Draw a lollypop
Step 17: Draw a parallel curve & complete the fifth tentacle
Step 18: Draw a curve line for the sixth tentacle
Step 19: Draw a line or stick
Step 20: Draw a rectangle shape
Step 21: Draw diagonal lines. It is the yummy ice cream
Step 22: Draw the sixth tentacle curve line
