How to Draw a Cat | Angry Cat Expression | Easy Step by Step Guide For Beginners
Learn how to draw a cat face outline drawing (angry expression) with an easy step by step tutorial guide for beginners.
What You Will Need
- An A4 size plain white paper.
- A pencil.
- An eraser.
This tutorial guide will be helpful for complete beginners to intermediate level users and above 8+ years age group kids.
Step 1: Compose the cat face anatomy and position with a round outline circle like in the image below.
Please note use a light HB pencil, please draw all these basic rough cat sketches in light color which we will erase at the end. For this tutorial purpose, I’m using the dark outline.
Step 2: Draw the cat two ears like in the image below.
Step 3: Draw the cat body outline like in the image below.
Step 4: Draw the horizontal and vertical lines to compose the eyes, nose and mouth of the cat, like in the image below.
Step 5: Draw the two lines in the opposite direction to compose the cat-eye like in the image below.
Step 6: Finish the cat eye by adding another two off curve lines below step 5, like in the image below.
Step 7: Draw a rough triangle shape for the cat nose like in the image below.
Step 8: Draw a rough shape of the cat mouth like in the image below.
All basic steps have been completed, it is time now if you need to change any expression on the cat face. For me, I’m happy with the results so I am proceeding to the next step which needs to be developed.
Step 9: Draw the cat outline eyes first like in the image below.
Step 10: Now draw the nose and mouth of the cat, like in the image below. Always follow the rough sketch graph so it will be easy to develop the cat face anatomy.
Step 11: Draw the cat ears and the head top line like in the image below.
Step 12: Draw the two off circle curve lines for the cat face and a small curve line at the bottom of the face, like in the image below.
Step 13: Draw the cat body outline like in the image below.
Step 14: Draw the cat whisker, like in the image below.
Step 15: To make this cat face outline more interesting, I draw some medium shade tones in eyeball, this step is optional.
