White Pelican on Water Sketch

I divided this guide into both text and video tutorial.
This tutorial is designed for beginners.
I’ll show you how to draw a white pelican on water.
Here is the reference image.
I’m taking this picture as my reference image.
Please follow with the same reference image with me.
Once you understand the subject, then you can able to draw with any other similar reference images as well.
First, to compose correctly, I’m dividing this page into two sections.
In the upper section, I’m going to draw the white pelican.
In the lower section, I’m going to draw the reflection of this bird.
The body shape of the pelican is close to a triangle shape. So, I’m drawing a basic outline triangle shape like this.
To draw the head, we need to measure the distance from the dividing line. It seems to be double the body size.
Draw an oval shape like this and draw two outlines for the neck.
Draw a diagonal line for the beak.
The beak is also close to a triangle shape. So, I’m drawing the triangle shape like this.
Now, the basic shape of the pelican is ready.
In the reference image, the reflection is also close to a triangle shape. So, draw the outline reflection.
Now, I ‘have completed the composition and the basic shape of the pelican.
Draw curved lines for the neck area like this and attach it to the body.
Divide the wing by drawing another curve line like this.
Divide the beak by drawing a slightly curved line like this.
Draw a slightly curved line in the outer shape of the reflection,
that’ it.
